² The adressee is unidentified here: perhaps Alphons (Albert's son), though Schenker would at any time after c. 1890 have had direct access to the latter; perhaps the Rothschild Artists' Foundation, in which case possibly paving the way for Schenker's application of 1899 (see OJ 12/26, [1], November 20, 1899).

³ The use of the specialist designation "Theoretiker" perhaps dates this card at earliest after 1902.

SUMMARY:
