Leider war ich zur verabredeten Zeit über Land geflogen, jedoch ist mein Clavier Eifer noch immer auf der selben Höhe; kommen Sie bald sonst könnte er erlahmen - {recto} vielleicht Samstag gegen 2^h.

Anbei mit nachträgliche[n] Neujahrswünschen ein klein unmusikalischen Souvenir.¹

Sadly, at the time in question I had flown the country, however, my enthusiasm for the piano is as keen as ever. Come soon, or it could diminsh--{recto} perhaps Saturday around 2 p.m.

Enclosed, with belated best wishes for the New Year, a small unmusical souvenir.¹
