According to the Verlagsdruckbuch for UE812, UE took receipt of 500 copies on July 24, 1903, so perhaps these fourteen copies were dispatched direct from the printers to Schenker. 2 This inquiry is a follow-up to OC 52/8, July 11: Schenker had previously inquired whether the Haydn piano trios might be available for editing in the UE catalogue; UE informed him that most of these had already been published, and promised to keep him in mind for future editing work.
