Format: 2p letter, recto-verso; printed letterhead, italic-typed message, stamped and holograph signatures, enclosure
Sender address: Vienna I, Maximilianstraße 11
Recipient address: Vienna

FOOTNOTES:

1 Heinrich Schenker, Ein Beitrag zur Ornamentik (Vienna: UE, [1903]). According to the Verlagsdruckbuch for UE812, UE took receipt of 500 copies on July 24, 1903, so perhaps these fourteen copies were dispatched direct from the printers to Schenker.

2 This inquiry is a follow-up to OC 52/8, July 11: Schenker had previously inquired whether the Haydn piano trios might be available for editing in the UE catalogue; UE informed him that most of these had already been published, and promised to keep him in mind for future editing work. "4 ... zu" underlined by Schenker.

3 i.e. a preliminary form of contract.

SUMMARY:
[Beitrag zur Ornamentik:] UE has sent 14 copies to him.
[Handel Organ Concertos:] Inquires whether he would be interested in editing; if so please sign enclosed slip and return.
