Siegfried Ochs (born Frankfurt, April 19, 1858; died Berlin, Feb 5, 1929), German choral conductor, composer, and editor. In 1882, Ochs founded the Philharmonischer Chor in Berlin, which became one of the leading choruses in Germany, and merged with the Berlin Hochschule der Musik in 1920. He specialized in performances of choral works by Schütz, Bach, Handel, Beethoven, Schubert, and Brahms. He made editions of J. S.
